So another blog entry... well overall I learned a lot in this class,
though my stuffs are still very elementary and not professional. I mean, I knew it's not that easy
that you can be in that stage in just 3 months.

but anyway, I learned a lot.
by the way I post on my twitter about "50 things GD student should know"
cuz I loved it actually :D

anyway here's another interesting video...interactive? I hope.

interesting videos

For this weeks' post, since there's no suggestion on what we write,
I'll just post interesting videos.

This video kept No.1 video for long time in Japanese-youtube-like
website, called "niconico video".
Though I don't know what genre those people represents,
(I think it's from some kinda game....not sure)
how this fan made this video is interesting.

and couple days later after this above video came up,
another interesting video came up

it's amazing even CNN showed them.
This is just fan made, how amazing.
also there's a lot of extended videos such as : made the video by cutting apple, etc

next is my favorite,
also made by a student, as his/her senior project.

Flash website

*sorry this website is written only in Jpns*

--however I love this website and how they use flash.
This is a website of a jewelry shop (marriage-ring/engagement ring).
The concept is "a place where fairies that makes jewelry of happiness live"
I think the concept works good throughout the design
and flash is making it looks like you're looking inside the store from window or something.
You can click in someparts and all the effects going on is so pretty.
Well-made to catch girl's attention :)

though their home website is
http://www.k-uno.co.jp/, the one using flash is

(it's their page on wedding website)

Well designed object

looks like an regular mechanical pencil....but

the eraser

comes out!!!

well designed object : my mechanical pencil

I didn't realize how well it was designed until I actually saw the label
because my cousin send me this without any comment.
so usually erase on mechanical pencil is very tiny that you don't want to use
that often. However this one is designed to work just as it is
with no carrying extra stuff. when you twist the top the looong eraser will come out.

Better than Free

Today the word "copy and paste" is known very wide.
Most people (in a situation where computers are used widely) knows what it means.
Legally or illegally it is being very easy to copy or download products.
However I do agree that there is a thing that can't be copied, more of those "feelings".
People still buys CD and DVD even though you know you can listen/load them through
internet. I think not only the quality but also the fact having the real attracts people still.

Homework6-reading

Ok so for this weekend and even till now I read the article again but
I am not sure I get it right. So basically what I catched is that he is
saying that machanically produced art loses its original quality but at same time
it spreads to many viewers and becomes familiar in social.
So when the art is reproduced endlessly it makes more people chance to see
what is it "like", but doesn't give passion of seeing "original".
I understand because even da Vinci's Mona Lisa, though it's mechanically produced
a whole lot throught countries still people come to see because it worth for them
to see "the original" or maybe, "real" stuff.

multimedia website

http://www.blublu.org/

When I heard a multimedia website or video, this was my first to come up.
This people's videos are very fun to watch. While I was watching I constantly think
what is going to happen next and wonder how much time they spend to do this.
With fun sound it makes each slide looks alive like a actual video.
It's also fun when you see actual person walking in the slides.

Favorite place to travel

I love to travel. I haven't been to many countries yet, but
I have many places I want to go. I love when I feel the total difference
between me and them. Tells me how less I knew.
However if I should say my favorite place to travel,
again and again, I should say Japan, my own country.

I don't know about my neighbor. I mean, NEIGHBOR.
just bicycle distance from my house. It's too close you don't go
and see what we have. Same thing, I don't know much about Tokyo,
don't know about Japan, as much as what is written on guidebook.
I started to travel inside Japan five years ago, and every time I get surprised
there was many places to visit in this tiny island.
So I love to travel lot of places in Japan, to know about my own country.

"It's always darkest just beneath the lighthouse."
(=People often know little of what is happening in their own backyards)

Infograph

1000 true fans
It is hard for me to imagine me having 1000 true fans.
What this article indicates as "true fans" are those people who
purchase " anything and everything you produce".
Sounds very hard for me and especially because I myself am not
a "true fan" of anybody so I cannot imagine me being the ONE.
However if I do, I think internet connection is very strong to contact them.
Twitter, pixiv, deviantart, etc.

Homework: Infographic

I thought it would be fun if the circles move around the map zooms in and out
between two countries

Homework 2: Worth1000

I choose this as my favorite because this has a sense of Trompe-loiel effect.
I like trompe-loil arts especially the one that looks so natural in first sight but
makes people feel weird and watch it close. I love that "a-ha!"moment.
This Red Hot Flower attracted me the most that it looks just like a flower
in the first sight but you'll find the detail of it and be amazed.
Its combination of natural-ness and unnaturral-ness is working in both ways
in just one object and I find its very fun to see.
